3. Cracks: Hot or cold cracks form continuous fissures.
4. Cold shuts/poor fusion: Inadequate merging of two molten aluminum streams leaves a gap or channel at the interface.
5. Slag inclusions/oxide skins: Poor bonding at impurity sites creates leakage paths.
6. Die-casting process: Insufficient pressure, improper filling speed, or inadequate dwell time results in a non-dense microstructure.
7. Raw materials: High gas content or excessive impurities in the molten aluminum.
